Third Party Productions Created To Bring in More IPs

Are you upset Diablo 3 is coming to the PS3 and not the Vita? Not cool with EA not making any sports titles for the Vita to continue your season? Maybe you believe Soul Sacrifice would be a great PS4 title? Well, worry not. Sony has heard your problems and they have responded with the creation of Third Party Productions.

What is Third Party Productions? It’s a group created by Sony as a subdivision of their Third Party Relations department. Their job is to essentially work with Sony’s publishing partners on getting third party IPs to all Sony consoles. This of course includes PS3, PS4, and yes, the PS Vita.

Captain of the Third Party Productions team Adam Boyes explains further:

“I’m really excited for our team to explore new opportunities on behalf of PlayStation. Even though we’re brand new to PlayStation, we’ve got years of experience in this industry already under our belt. We already have a project underway, the recently announced PS Vita version of Borderlands 2. We are extremely excited to work with Iron Galaxy Studios on this project and I cannot wait to show and tell you more down the road.”

Third Party Productions  is not only hard at work, but they want to hear from you as well. Adam Boyes continues to state:

“I will share more with you as our adventures continue and new games are made available. In the meantime, let me know in the comments what you want to see on PlayStation (PS3, PS4, PS Vita). Or contact me on Twitter through the ingenious and mesmerizing handle of @giocorsi — original I know, but man is it solid.”

Third Party Productions is already hard at work with Borderlands 2. Anything you’d like to see the Third Party Productions help make? Let us know (after you let them know) in the comments below.
